Pollution is unavoidable in developing countries

Ladies and gentlemen, Assalamualaikum and a very good morning to Madam Nur Hafizah, band all of my fellow friends. I, Zulfadhli Rusydi, would like to talk about “Pollution is unavoidable in developing countries”..The purpose that I deliver this talk is I want to create awareness and to inform you how the developing countries cannot escape from creating pollution. Before that, let we look a short movie about this talk.

Thus, I would discuss this title based on 3 main points.First is uses of advanced technologies. Second is non plants area on the earth and third is the existence of transportation routes.

My first point is advanced technologies are applied at equipments in most developing countries. They use it because they want to comfort their residents with convinience life. For instance, most buildings have air conditioners and refrigerators.Even both goods bring goodness to people, sadly it also creates harm to earth. Based on Barney Garcia,on his article Use of Air Conditioners and the Greenhouse Effect in www.articlesbase.com, when we started using the air conditioner, it will release carbon to the air.so,carbon at atmosphere may insulate our planet by thinning the ozone layer.

My second point is developed countries try to achieve as many as possible buildings which lead to non plants area on the earth. For instance, even Singapore is a small country, they still to add more megastructure such as Ocean Financial Centre .This failure make them forget about the role of plants to the earth.According to World Resources Institute’s Ms Mathew in ecology.com,developed countries populations have somewhat stabilized, but they are still showing a certain aggressive appetite for clearing trees. As a result, there are no more plants functioning as Earth’s water cycle by absorbing rain and snowfall. For a long term effect, land pollution may occurs such as landslide and soil errosion .

My third point is the existence of transportation routes in developing countries also creates various types of pollutions.Generally, these facilities are very useful to connect one town to another. However, contruction of routes lead to traffic congestion as there are many vehicles use the roads. Based on the Department of Environment Protection,State of Maine, addition of the emissions from millions of vehicles in use every day may lead to serious air pollution.During fuel burning in the engine, harmful chemicals such as hydocarbons, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates are released as exhaust. These chemicals cause a variety of human and environmental health problems.

In conclusion, I would like to repeat my three precious main points, which are uses of advanced technologies, non green area on the earth and existence of transportation routes which support my presentation, Pollution is unavoidable in developing countries. In short, I totally argue that most of developing countries are not escaping from creating these pollutions. With that, I end my presentation with a quotes by Charles Haas ‘Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years’. Thank you
